Goals

Shannon wanted more opportunities to close more business. The problem with his business, as it translates to the web, is how can a site communicate trust as mechanics do not have the best reputations. The second problem is that he is competing with the likes of any and all Volkswagen and Audi dealers who have very deep pockets.

Solution

We decided that customers needing work done on their cars are not looking for high design when it comes to a mechanics website. We settled on a kitschy site with video. This way someone could get a look at the people they must trust with their car. We then got Full Throttle of Orlando ranked in the top three for almost every Volkswagen and Audi related keyword for Orlando in Google Places. It also helps that Full Throttle of Orlando is a world class Volkswagen and Audi repair shop.

Once we got Full Throttle of Orlando ranked in the top of Google places/local search their business exploded.

Local SEO is not a single magic bullet. Part of the problem is that many important keywords are not triggered as a local search.  So to enable a customer to be able to find your site you must SEO for both local search and organic search.
